Richmond, B.C: In collaboration with West Coast Promotions, River Rock Casino Resort will host the first ever live caged amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in Lower Mainland on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the River Rock Show Theatre.

All media are invited to attend the official press conference which will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the River Rock Show Theatre.

During the press conference, media will have the opportunity to meet and interview some of the combatants and to learn more about MMA style of fighting. Fight night chief official, Kevin Dornan will be on hand to speak about the safety aspects of North America's fastest growing sport. Dornan and all the officials for the event have been trained and certified by either IPRO (International Professional Ring Officials) or C.O.M.M.A.N.D. (Certification of Officials for Mixed Martial Arts Development) training programs and have many years of experience in their respective fields.

During the press conference, media will have the opportunity to see and film the first MMA cage in the Lower Mainland. Representatives from West Coast Promotions and Great Canadian Gaming Corporation will also be available for interviews.
