Coquitlam, B.C – Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is thrilled to present the first, officially sanctioned boxing card, Rumble at the Red at the Red Robinson Show Theatre, 2080 United Boulevard, Coquitlam on Saturday, December 27, 2008. In the history of Canadian boxing, Rumble at the Red will take the honour of being the first ever professional boxing event staged in the City of Coquitlam.
“I am extremely excited and proud to be able to bring such an amazing boxing event to Coquitlam. In partnership with the West Coast Promotions, Great Canadian has worked so hard to make this happen and at the same time, I would like to acknowledge the Coquitlam City Council for their support, said Howard Blank, Vice President of Media, Entertainment and Responsible Gaming.
The main event will feature two top rated Canadian heavyweight boxers, Canadian champion Raymond Olubowale and Qualicum Beach’s own Shane ‘Shotgun’ Andreesen.
The fight card also features local up-and-comers such as #1 Canadian rated Cruiserweight, Kevin Reynolds, #5 Canadian contender Junior Moar and local Coquitlam pugilist ‘Irish’ Steve Conkin.
